On the 15th October we went to our schools Drama Studio to see if it is a suitable location and also experiment with the overhead lighting.
Danielle has previously used the lighting in the drama studio as shehas previously helped with lighting during drama performances. This means we were quickly able to see all of the different types of lighting we could achieve. First we experimented with different colour spot lights.
We thought quickly switching the different colour spotlights would look effective when the dancers and main character is dancing.
We thought that the plain black walls in the drama studio would be a perfect backdrop for the dancers
We have decided to use this location due to the ease of accessibility, the lighting and the plain backgrounds. Also it is a very large space and flat floor which will be helpful when moving the camera and the dancers will have lots of space to move in.
