>We looked at a variety of video as inspiration for our locations. We looked at artists such as Gorgon City, Passion Pit, Disclosure and Flume. We liked the urban theme in there videos including shots of graffiti, buildings, lights and signs. We wanted to recreate this in our video so went on a location recce to London.
>Firstly we went to Southbank to look at the skate park. This is a very urban scene due to all the graffiti covering the park. It looked very effective on camera and provided a brilliant background for our dancers. While walking around Southbank we took some shots of the river and people walking down streets which we hope to include.
>Then we made our way to Camden. Here we found some streets with more street art, a hallway and staircase with graffiti and a pathway which used coloured lighting.
We are also going to use a rooftop which will portray the increase risk in suicide during the main characters depressed stages.
>Our final location will be a garage. Here we will film the dancers using strobe lighting to create shots of silhouettes and coloured lights.
Shot Ideas
>At the start of the video we are going to have a low angle tracking shot of our main characters feet walking. This will hide the identity of the character and give him a sense of mystery. This shot will then stop and the title will appear on screen.
>We want to have LS of signs, buildings and grafitti which will be around London. We will use these as filler shots and establishing shots.
>When filming our dancers we want to use a variety of shots such as CU, MS and LS. The CU shots will look very effective and interesting when in slow motion.
>When we film our main character miming we will break the rule of thirds and place him in the centre of the screen. This is conventional of music videos and will ensure that the audience's full attention on the main character.
>We want to have LS of signs, buildings and grafitti which will be around London. We will use these as filler shots and establishing shots.

>We are going to use the kaleidoscope effect to make our video visually pleasing. We will use shots of lights, fireworks and sparklers which will all be tinted gold in post production if not already gold. This will be used as the backdrop for our green screen and also be featured in certain parts of the video. This will play on our concept 'gold is not enough'.
>During the chorus we will have the lyrics appear on screen 'Gold is not enough' this will make our concept more clear to our audience.
>We want to use multiple screen during some parts of the video. Each screen would have a slightly different start point of the same clip to show his gradual change in emotion.
>We wanted to create repeatability by interpretating the lyrics in a unique way so that the audience would have to continuely consume.
>We are concerned that we may portray bipolar disorder inaccurately.
>We need to ensure that when filming we use a high frame per second rate so that when we use time stretch the footage won't go jittery.
>When filming we need to keep the camera movement fluid and smooth so that the shots look professional.
>Our equipment could be damaged if the weather isn't good when filming outside in London.
>We could get public interference as we are filming in London which is a very busy place and the skatepark could be crowded with skaters.
>When we imported our footage onto premiere we didn't change the aspect ratio and so our footage ended up with a black rim around the edge.
>We will set our camera to a high frame rate.
>We will use stedi cam and a tripod to ensure that all of our shots are still and smooth.
>We have decided to film very early in the morning in London to avoid public interference. Also this will mean our dancers will be more confidence as they won't have an audience.
>When importing our footage on to Premiere we will ensure it is in the correct format.
>If it rains while we are filming outside at London we will use waterproofing for our equiptment and try to shoot undercover as much as possible.
>We have researched bi-polar disorder thoroughly to ensure that we portray the disorder correctly.
