She has suggested that we definitely think we will include the following:
- To cut from the dancers back to Isaac on the roof we should use a 360 pan cut.
- We should consider that he should be in all of the locations even the conceptual shots to connote that it is all in his mind.
- Use a prop throughout the scenes when he is happy throughout the video that is only shown in the last shot of him on the roof to connect the narrative fuzz that his reality is confused. It will create an enigma and connect the two locations.
- Throughout the dancing shots the dancers could wipe gold paint over him in different places, covering his body more and more in gold - connecting to the lyric 'Gold is not enough' to convey that although he is happy is gaining more and more self doubt. The shots of Isaac on the roof would have all of these gold marks but they would not be indistinguishable or noticeable thorough strategic camera positioning and blurring. The end shot will also show his whole body with these gold markings on him. We need to think about how we will show the gold mark because the shots of him on the roof are meant to be in black and white.
- Mr Fiveash has incredibly worked out how we could include animation in our music video using AfterEffects. We will shoot filler shots of him pulling extreme, to the point of being quite unsettling, facial expressions of him screaming and smiling. These shots are made to unsettle the audience and will be used as filler shots and interspersed throughout the video.
- In todays lesson we completed more storyboarding and decided on what our main character would wear. We have decided that we are going to be filming the rooftop scenes on Thursday 23rd October so that we will have enough time to reshoot if we find out that the footage is not good enough. We will be shooting in the evening so during the double lesson we have that day we will be completing the risk assessment and call sheets for the roof location. We will however need some gold face paint for this shoot which we have not bought yet so hopefully we will be able to find some in time.
- We have almost completely storyboarded the rooftop scene and definitely will by tomorrow.
