L.P: Questionnaire Response

We made a questionnaire on Survey Monkey for our audience research with questions that would allow our idea to be pushed forward. I sent the survey to about 40 of my friends on the social networking site, Facebook and about 30 of my friends responded. I came up with 3 questions that allowed open answers, the questions were:

Q. When listening to the track what visually first comes to mind?
A. We got some really good answers for this questions with the focus being on Bright colours and dancing, which is our aim. My favourite answer was 'Vibrant with a sense of sadness and depression' as it describes our initial ideas really clearly. I also liked the answer 'in a field really early in the morning when it's not a proper party any more but there are a few people still partying', however this wouldn't be practical.

Q. What style of clothing would you imagine the characters to be wearing?
- Trainers, Adidas, Nike, Skinny jeans
- Vintage, 1950s, Velvet
- Bright colours, 1960s raver, bomber jackets
- 1960s flower power
- Indie large jumpers, patterns
A. Our intention for the answer to this question was either number 1 or number 3, and these were the most popular answers. With 19 votes for number 3 and 18 votes for number 1.

Q. What locations do you associate with the word urban? List 3 or more locations
A. Our aim for this question was some locations in London and also general urban locations for example skate parks and roof tops and places with graffiti art, we already had Camden, Brick Lane and South park as locations we may want to shoot in. We got some really good responses, with Camden being mentioned a lot of times and London as well. Some people also mentioned Brighton which is where our practice video was shot, and we went for an urban feel in this video using roof tops and shooting in front of graffiti art.
