We went up to London on Thursday 2nd October after school to find some good locations to film our music video at. We planned to go to South Bank, Camden and Brick Lane because we want an urban feel to our music video and this is achievable in these locations as there is graffiti.
South Bank
South Bank has a skatepark which we are going to use as one of our main locations. The skate park was exactly how we envisioned and it would be perfect for the diversity of shots and angles we could create.
When standing on South Bank the sunset was really beautiful, if it is on the day we film then we may get some shots with the dancers, dancing in front of the sunset.
We also found a bright yellow staircase just above the skatepark, we could take some shots of our main character running up/down the staircase and pull up the saturation so that the yellow really stands out, yellow also represents happiness therefore he could be really happy in this shot highlighting his bipolar.
Camden
We also went to Camden where we had to rush to take pictures outside because it was getting dark but it didn't matter in the end because we went into the market where it was well lit. We wanted to find locations with artistic graffiti like in Southbank and we managed to find this. There were quite a lot of people in the market and there definitely will be when we go back to film during the day. This meant that we were fearful to use our expensive cameras to film in some locations and we have to make sure our actors will be ok with acting in front of the strangers
Brick Lane
It took us a long time to get to Brick Lane from Camden and we didn't have much time to take pictures.
