we have decided to use tape as a prop in our video. We are going to put the tape on to over our main characters mouth. Then we will draw/paint a smiley face onto the tape. This will connote that the character is faking his happiness at the start of the video. Then at the end of the video the tape will be taken off to reveal a real smile.
This idea was inspired by the video little secrets by Passion Pit where they used faces painted onto paper bags:

We thought that using split screens of our main character in the same location but with different non-verbal language and colour grading would portray his change in mood, therefore highlighting his bi polar.

This was inspired by the video Scams-Helicopter Parents

We are considering beginning the video in just black and white and then introducing the coloured clips later on.
